Invite
A self-initiated concept app for people who would rather design their own invitations than pick from fifty templates. I designed the full flow: onboarding, account creation, a home dashboard, and two creation tools for building an event and its invitation from scratch.
Overview
Most invitation apps hand you a wall of templates and call it customization. Invite started from the opposite premise: what if designing the invitation and setting up the event were one creative act, not two disconnected chores? I designed the whole concept end to end, from a three-screen onboarding to paired creation tools, aiming for something playful enough for a birthday and clean enough for a wedding.

What I designed
- Warm onboarding that sets expectations in three screens
- One home dashboard for every event in progress
- Paired "Create Event" + "Create Invitation" flows
- A dedicated invitation preview, not an afterthought
Process
I audited six invitation apps and found that every one treated the invite and the event as separate products, so I mapped a single flow where designing the invitation and setting up the event happen together. I then walked five friends who were planning real events through the onboarding sequence to see where they hesitated.
The biggest challenge
Designing one visual system that could feel playful enough for a birthday and clean enough for a wedding. I solved it by keeping structure and interaction patterns identical across events, and letting color and type carry the emotional tone instead.
